Head of External Relations and International Projects, BOTAŞ
With 13 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, Oguzhan Oguz specializes in contract negotiation, drafting, and contract management, as well as project development. He has made significant contributions to the development of key cross-border natural gas pipeline projects, including the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), TurkStream, and NABUCCO, along with their financing arrangements.
In his current role as the Head of External Relations and International Projects at BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation, Oguzhan focuses on infrastructure projects, energy transition, and shipping. Previously, he successfully negotiated numerous long-term pipeline and LNG supply contracts and facilitated hundreds of spot LNG transactions. He has also contributed to several commercial arbitration cases, including those involving price revision claims.
Beyond his energy sector expertise, Oguzhan has a solid understanding of the shipping industry. He has played a key role in chartering two Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) and has experience in FSRU construction, financing, and ship management.
Oguzhan holds two LL.M. degrees: one in International Finance Law from King’s College London and another in Energy Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee.
