Recent Developments in European & Turkish Energy Markets
Burak Yitgin works as Business Development Manager & Senior Consultant at APLUS Enerji and he is a lecturer of Energy Markets at Sabancı University.
Before joining APLUS Enerji, he worked at Turkish Energy Exchange (EPİAŞ) for more than 8 years at Strategy Development focusing on establishing new organized markets, evaluating gas Markets for Hub development, drafting roadmaps for newly liberalized energy markets. During his early career Yitgin worked as research assistant in the economics department at the Institute of Strategic Thinking and Econometric Research Association. He was selected as one of the Potential Future Leader of the Energy Union by the Greek Energy Forum in 2019.
He earned his (BA) in Economics from Bilkent University and Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy Law from Özyeğin University, (MSc) degree in Energy Technologies & Management from Sabancı University. He earned an another (MSc) degree in Eurasian Political Economy & Energy from King’s College London with his thesis research at St. Petersburg Higher School of Economics. His is a PhD(c) in Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University.
